About the Challenge
A global manufacturer supplies their pre-engineered packaged skid style systems to manufacturing locations all over the world. To enable them to move a system from one country to another, they require multinational versatility in their systems and system components so that they can be compliant with all regulatory standards. Pre-engineered system design requirements called for all components going into the system to fit exactly in order to line up with nozzles and connectors already in place.
Plug & Play Solution
The manufacturer contacted Walker Engineered Products. They chose Walker because of our ability to design and fabricate according to ASME for the United States, CRN for Canada, and PED for Europe. These standards are recognized around the world to mean that the code stamped equipment is compliant with documented design, manufacture, final inspection and testing of pressure vessels. They also looked to Walker Engineered Products for our versatility in custom manufacturing stainless steel process vessels and storage tanks. The skilled craftsmen at Walker came up with a plug and play solution by making jigs and fixturing to control the tolerances of the vessels and tanks so they literally drop into place in their designated spot in the skidded system.
